Nowadays, facelifts are customizable and produce natural results rather than the stretched skin of the past. Dr. David Mashhadian has a plethora of skills and methods to create the look your desire through a facelift with results you’ll love for years.

How Does a Facelift Work?
Dr. Mashhadian has no cookie-cutter facelift procedure, and only wants to correct your signs of aging to the extent you need—no more, no less. This begins with the three basic facelift techniques which Dr. Mashhadian then customizes for your specific goals and features.
The Traditional Facelift conceals the incisions in your hairline, giving Dr. Mashhadian access to sculpt, reposition, and anchor your SMAS layer—the face’s structural support—for a refreshed, youthful appearance. This facelift works well for patients who need significant intervention.
The Limited-Incision Facelift uses shorter incisions in the upper face rather than in the hairline. Patients who only require mild correction may opt for this choice, and the results are as long lasting as traditional approaches.
The Neck Lift may be best if your lower face and neck are giving away your age. A melting jawline and loose skin of the neck can really age a person. Gravity can force fat tissue to accumulate downward, so a neck lift is more reasonable for reducing aging and the results can be quite dramatic.
Am I a Good Candidate?
Facelifts are for men and women who are in general good health with realistic expectations. A facelift can improve your appearance, but it’s not a substitute for a healthy, active lifestyle. Start with a consultation with Dr. Mashhadian today.
How Should I Prepare for a Facelift?
Before your procedure, you may need certain lab testing and medication adjustments. If you smoke or vape, it’s best to quit several weeks ahead of the procedure as nicotine interferes with the healing process.
The day before your facelift, make yourself a comfortable recovery spot where you’ll have things close at hand, such as pillows for elevating your upper body (recommended even for sleeping), books or TV remotes, and blankets. Perhaps prepare a cooler with plenty of water and soft snacks within reach. The first 24 hours after your procedure, you may be groggy and weakened, so you’ll need a loved one to help keep you comfortable during this time. The more you can set yourself up for comfort ahead of time, the smoother your initial recovery will go. Also, listen to your body after your procedure. It’s hard sometimes to slow down, but depleting energy resources your body needs to heal by overextending yourself during recovery only prolongs your downtime.
What is Recovery Like?
Because of Dr. Mashhadian’s Recovery EXL™ system, you’ll be mobile and alert sooner than you might expect, which helps with circulation and improves healing. Most patients return to their regular activities within 1-2 weeks, and some even sooner. Office work may be resumed quicker than more strenuous, physical work. You’ll experience some bruising and swelling the first few days, but this is normal and no cause for panic. As the bruises fade and swelling reduces, your youthful glow will shine through. Your tissues may take a few weeks to settle, but once they do, patients enjoy their results for up to 15 years without the need for maintenance.
Good habits can keep you looking youthful for the long-term, and Dr. Mashhadian is happy to give you information to help preserve your youth and vitality for as long as possible. When the time is right, small revisions can be made to keep you younger for longer.
